We spoke to Calvin Williams, CivicActions’ new Associate Director, DITAP Program Manager, about what sets CivicActions DITAP apart, his 20 years in program/project management, and why CivicActions’ authenticity and values have made a strong impact.
Can you tell us about your background prior to joining CivicActions?
Before joining CivicActions, my career predominantly centered around technology and program/project management. I have over 20 years of experience in these domains, working in various sectors, including finance, banking, utilities, and logistics. Throughout my career, I’ve demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects, driving process improvements, and implementing strategic objectives. I’ve also been instrumental in overseeing IT and telecommunications initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations. While my background primarily revolves around technology and project management, I’ve also developed proficiency in various programming languages and acquired acquisition and contract management experience to ensure program efficiency and value maximization. Beyond my professional life, I’m deeply passionate about my family, love being a coach for my sons’ teams, and I have a strong affinity for technology and racing.

What excites me most about CivicActions’ DITAP program is the opportunity to apply my extensive technology and program management experience to support government agencies in delivering digital services efficiently. Whether it’s watching motorsports events or occasionally hitting a track, the adrenaline rush of racing is something I relish. These diverse interests energize me and add an exciting dimension to my life outside of work.
